Pre Holiday Bunnies

These I painted for my kids room. I envisioned it to be a brother and sister, but my husband said they look like the famous Farmer and Wife painting:) I hope he was just kidding.

And another good news for me, that I finally made it to the front page of Etsy today. In my 2 years there it is the 2nd time that I know I was on front page. Not much, but I am happy about every one of those.

Making a Blurb Book

Many of you probably know, about a site called Blurb. You can self publish a book there, using their book layout software. And they will print it out for you. The reviews of the site I have read are fabulous. The quality cost ratio should be very reasonable,so I am excited about receiving my first solo Art book.
My research tells me that I need a 7x7" hardcover. And that is what I am making for the past couple of days. Once I get my copy and test drive it with friends and family I will be offering them at my etsy shop.

Some Helpful tips for Etsians

For all of us who are searching for new marketing techniques I wanted to say that this ebook was full of helpful advice. Some statistics, some marketing tips, some directory links and overall good information. For the price of $10 I think it offers a lot! After selling for more than I year I found information that I never heard of before (not that I do not do my research :)))

Making Treasuries is not easy

I have been on Etsy for almost a year. I never managed to get a treasury, even though I could make a pretty good one.
Today as I was going through my morning routine, which now includes twitter I heard someone say that there is an Treasury spot opening soon. So I ran to Etsy, and indeed withing a minute or so I had an opening at the bottom of the page asking me to enter the Treasury Title. Boy, was I ready? NO! But I decided to go with the flow, and made up something sounding like Whimsy in the Air. The key was NOT to refresh the page, while waiting. Thank you twitter, I would not have know that otherwise. And then, I just went through my favorites (and I do happen to like whimsical creatures of all shape and form) and fill it out.
So here it is--my first Etsy Treasury! Cheers to all the featured Artists, may be we will make a good first showing:)
