Did I invent these?
Well, probably I did not, but it felt like I did. (click to see larger images)
I started using those with my daughter, and then I printed out and laminated some more and used them in my Art lessons for 3-4 year old kids. And now finally I am ready to show them to the world:)
Here they are, my traceble animals. Will put them in my Etsy shop after posting here. What I do with them is I let the kid trace the easy shape of the animals head, and then let them draw the middle, body or whatever else they feel like drawing. I find that having a countour of the head the kids have more confidence to finish the drawing, while having a freedom of their own drawing.

Inspiration Tuesday
They speak to me . Somehow. Sometimes you just find another artist whose language speaks to you directly, and this is the case. I just bought a couple of figurine bells for myself as a Christmas present.

Pre Holiday Bunnies
These I painted for my kids room. I envisioned it to be a brother and sister, but my husband said they look like the famous Farmer and Wife painting:) I hope he was just kidding.
And another good news for me, that I finally made it to the front page of Etsy today. In my 2 years there it is the 2nd time that I know I was on front page. Not much, but I am happy about every one of those.

Tropical Colors
I did a whole batch of new small paintings while in Florida, and the color that was my biggest influence while there was GREEN. No surprise here, as you can guess. The tropical greens are amazing, lushious and so rich. I never saw green like that before.
Not that I managed or really tried to copy those greens, but they were definitely in my mind while I was painting.
Visit my store to see all the new ACEOs.

A week of summer
We were out of the city, out of the daily hassle, and out of winter for a week.
We spent a week in Florida in Fort Lauderdale, hiding away from the cold and enjoying the company of each other. It has been a long time since we had such a great time all together, without running or being late ANYWHERE...

Some facts about Owls, more of a fun way to learn about owls, than an animation masterpiece, but still rather nicely made.

New Smalls
I am back in the painting routine. Getting 1,2 or 3 small painting done in a day. After a period of dryness the images are pouring out again. This one is a carrot puzzle. Can the rabbit guess which carrot is the biggest?

Inspiration Tuesday
Beatrice Alemagna is an illustrator I discovered recently while browsing LJ. I fell in love with this lion, and had to find the book. Luckily British and French Amazon had it, so now I am the lucky owner of a copy of Un Lion a Paris. The lion face is something that mezmerized me in her work, plus the perspectives and line work are amazing in my opinion. I think I will look for more books that she did.

Here and Now
It is autumn, as many of you already know:)
Life is good. I am very happy that I decided to home school for this year. Simply put--it feels right, it feels good and natural. My favorite time of the day is the morning, when we have a very quiet and SLOW breakfast, and I sip my cup of coffee and listen to the kid's stream of consciousness...I love hearing original and interesting things that come from their "inside", to me that shows the wonder of the "self" and the root of creativity. Finally after almost a year of trying to teach them at home I feel at ease with what is happening and am very pleased with the results.
Here are some of our recent autumn inspired colorful moments.

We are into Clay these days
Sculpey to be more precise.
I can not paint lately for some strange internal reason, and the only salvation is playing with sculpey. That has been my long time proven by years therapy in days when painting is not an option.
And strange as it may seem (ha ha) my kids are into sculpey too. As we are bound to spend most of the time together we tend to pick up each others hobbies. For example now I know all the Star Wars character and even their Battle Tech numbers (some of you may know what it is, some may not know ant they might be better off not knowing)
So here they are from my youngest ( Anna 3.4 year old), then Andrei 5.9 year old, and then myself.
They do all the work themselves, I do not touch the creations.
Anna:
Andrei:Me:
P.S. Should I try selling these, what do you think?
