Spring is Here

Bursting with colors, sunlight and new energy--it is spring! My time of the year. I was born in mid April, and have always felt a deep connection to this time. This year I am starting entering the 3...something numbers :) To tell you the truth, I did like the twenties better, but I guess I can get used to thirties also:)

Christmas Eve. Dad is stuck in the airport and can not make it to dinner. The sour cream is spilled. Is the evening ruined?
Yes, unless you invite a bunch of homeless cats over. Magical and very sweet. I especially enjoyed the ending with the guardian angels.

As you can see my Art activity has slowed down A LOT lately. All I can show as for my latest achievements are these two hedges and a bunch of sketches, that might or might not turn into something "real"

Board Game Weather

It is grey, and wet and cold outside, not the kind of weather you want to go out AT ALL.
It's a good thing I stocked up on board games this Christmas. I wanted to to share the two games I enjoy most at the present. Actually the whole family likes them, except for the 3.5 year old who is not allowed to play yet.

Those of you who are into board games probably know those two aready. I had discovered them a little bit before Christmas. Both are strategy games that involve a lot of thinking and planning.
The Settlers of Catan takes a bit longer to finish , Ticket to Ride is a bit quicker so if you are short on time try it first. Wishing all of you the sunny days we miss so much here in New York!

A new take on the muppets

IF: Adrift

It was Snowing

For the second time this winter we had snow. First they were big and fluffy snowflakes dancing slowly from the clouds down. Then the snowflakes became smaller and sharper and the wind started blowing. And finally it was more like little flies trying to bite you.
We caught the first part outside and managed to take some photos and play in the snow. The best part of winter in my opinion is being home in the evening, drinking tea and looking out the window at the street lights with snowflakes around them.

Something new

Finally, after a few completely fruitless weeks full of frustration (fellow artists out there will understand) I have something new to show. Little as it is I am happy that I have something going.

Inspiration Tuesday

A new favorite of mine Anna Silivonchik inspired me to try aclylics once again. I have not done work on canvas for 7 years, yet I am eager to start again. She makes the canvases and the paint sing together in a way I did not think they could given the subject matter. I am in love:)
